What Dubstep is Really About
https://soundcloud.com/djactivator/activator-spring
Dubstep is like a schizophrenic
Trying to create a melodic tune
When the melody argues against itselfA man spazaming out on the synthesizer
Which creates the ear shattering noises of a dying chinchilla on fire
On its turning wheel, running from its
death
Trying to figure out how all the hormonies work together
As she’s screaming her head off,
Trying to figure out how to make it through but then says
Fuck it
And ruins its life and those around it
She gets under your skin during your drunken haze
Takes you to her place
And you find the saggy breasts,
The hairy vagina
The baby in the next room screaming
Which ruins your entire night
Dubstep is like a three year old child
Trying to figure out what he or she wants
So the child puts a horrid melody,
Which doesn’t make sense,
To a baseline,
Which just drops,
down the stairs
Hopefully to its death
It isn’t worth it
Nuff said
Its to hard undrstand and
Tisn plzing 2 teh i
Because he can’t understand anything
Over half the time
He just wants to dance on the dance floor
But all he does is look down at his thigh nubs;
Cut off and tied off jeans,
And just listens to the music,
Sitting in his wheelchair,
Nodding his head,
Then shoots himself because he isn’t worth dancing with
Born under a genre of music
But a virus conceived the child
And the techno body is kicking it out
Just as a virus should
Dubstep is like a puppy which has Down Syndrome
It’s annoying as fuck
It doesn’t know when to shutup
It shouldn’t be let out into the light of day
Especially at night
Fans of Dubstep
Are just like karp
They swim with each other in the thousands
But they are too stupid to realize
They will get gobbled whole by a whale
Full of people who think it’s good or amazing
But they don’t see the cliff at the end
It may be bad to look at
It may be horribly smelly
But you can’t hear it
He just does not know what to do with himself
And how horrid he looks
I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole
As it would have syphilis for skin
Gonorrhea for eyes
Hemorrhoids for sexual organs
Cancer for a heart
Hernias for muscles
Aids for blood
And tumor for a brain
The Devil laughed and he giggled
He cried and he piddled
As he saw the pathetic human race
Dancing to the dubstep disgrace
As he created this blasphemy
He whispered so no one can hear
‘Come to me’
He cried and he piddled
As he saw the pathetic human race
Dancing to the dubstep disgrace
As he created this blasphemy
He whispered so no one can hear
‘Come to me’
Dupstep is just like this horrible poem
It doesn’t have rhythm
It doesn't have rhyme
Blessed is he who keeps his spirit pure
From this horrible crime

Dubstep is the culmination of much fucks we give to mainstream music and all its grandeur. Dubstep represents the mindless self indulgence we all share in the dark and uncaring world. Dubstep is garbage, filth, and atrocity. Much like the lives we're are currently living in. No rhythm, no tempo, no goal. It is the loner we all are. It is the face we put on when nothing goes our way. I listen to dubstep from time to time because it truly is garbage...disgusting garbage...we all are dirty. But, granted Skrillex can go suck a dick FOR REAL.
ReplyDeleteYou hate on this "new" music, but all music goes through this phase. They said the same for punk, metal, rap, and folk. History repeats itself once again in this review.
ReplyDeleteI stand by my opinion.
ReplyDeleteTo bad opinions mean nothing. How about we delve a little more into this shall we? Lets compare dubstep/trapstep to hardstyle. Maybe even drum 'n bass and heavy electronica.
ReplyDeleteOoo, lets also dissect this song's lyrics. Some of it is confaluded and contains some fallacies that does not really merit enough evidence to support the authenticity of dubstep's intentions.
ReplyDeleteWe can also compare it to Glitch as well.
ReplyDeleteYou can't compare genres. It's like saying death metal is children music.
ReplyDeleteBesides, it's my view of dubstep, not what it actually is and I did not oompare it to any genre.
ReplyDeleteYeah you can compare it to other genres. The fans perception heavily represents the mentality of genre division. Finding correlations of how the music influences people, not just the demographic it only speaks to, will eliminate bias opinions. The music itself, no matter the message, influences people in general. I understand that's your view or opinion, but diessect and discussing could offer some other perspectives in dubstep that you did not know about. I'm not trying to argue you in the sense that dubstep is good or better or anything, its a discussion that can educate us.
ReplyDeleteOf course, but it's just I don't understand why people want to listen to a certain sub-genre, underneath techno (in general), in which that it has to add lyrics and a melody then add something which doesn't correspond or make sense to any other part of the song. Is it a 'band wagon' theme? Much like YOLO and swag? (I, for one, consider these things to be childish and very influenced by horrible upbringing from parents but this is a different discussion) Because many things die out when people realize that it is actually bad and waste of time/money, say from the 80's and 90's swatches, excessive use of chemicals for regular day products that were bad for the public, the use of different hip words, and more.
ReplyDeleteI realize that talking about it could educate but what about the regular civilian? Do you think he would realize it? Or the DJ himself and what message he is trying to portray just by his influences and the actual sounds that create this sub-genre, which the people would interpret in their own minds? Of course we are no experts and what we say actually determines this music to be good, bad, or the next best thing. Also take into consideration that there is another part of dubstep that people are calling nustep or somesuch... I can't remember the name but it sounds the same to me with a better melody, and anti-bass.
I'm just going to inject my quick two cents into this. Dubstep at a club/warehouse rave is amazing. FEELING that bass is what it is actually about. Now the people that listen to dubstep and ONLY dubstep in cars with shitty ass systems? No. They're doing it wrong.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about dubstep though is that most dubby artists don't take it seriously. They realize it's a phase and are just having fun with it. The ones that take that shit seriously? Eh... No one will remember them in a year or two.
