So, CISPA which as yet again, another bill on internet sharing of information that really benefits corporations, has passed in the House of Representatives. Contact your Senator Kirk and Durbin.

Sincerely doubt Senator Durbin will end up voting for it. Similarly doubt Kirk will, he has experience in military intelligence. Both Durbin AND kirk are fairly good at limiting regulation for the sake of regulation. Let's wait awhile to find out where they stand before contacting them.
ReplyDeleteand it passing in the house is no surprise. They're a joke at the moment.
ReplyDeleteRight, I agree that Durbin and Kirk won't vote for it either, but I def want to keep track on other Senators.
ReplyDeleteI agree with it being too broad and not specific enough on what CISPA can and cannot do. It just also leads to more bills and probably laws that will hinder much of the internet usage.
ReplyDelete'You said something bad about the government?'
TRAITOR.
'You made slanderous talks of a politician?'
BRING HIM TO ME.
I just see it escalating as well as how the government is poking around and seeing how they can control another aspect of our civilian lives.
My biggest issue is of course the fact that it's shifting the responsibility from private entities to the government. Free market is FREE. Tax money shouldn't be used to shore up corporate profits. I will however be paying attention to the representatives of ours that choose to support it. Thanks for the link Mike.
